In Episode 7, we discuss our experiences of being immigrants in multiple places, and over multiple generations. We ponder whether one ever really stops being an immigrant, and what it means to have an immigrant identity, which is often dehumanized and otherized by people who don't personally know many people who have migrated; what it takes to give up everything you've known and why people migrate in the first place. We also discuss the way that UK and US imperialism have shaped the countries and places from which we migrated, and what today's ongoing imperialistic rhetoric and acts are like.
